They're better than the new DSC blade. However they don't shave my head very well. For the face they're good.
Seeing as how I need a razor to do both that will affect my score.

Brilliant shave. Face feels so much smoother. Will definitely buy more razors as needed.

I had been a Dollar Shave Club subscriber for years. Could not even tell you, it's been that long. I was so excited when they released a new razor, mainly because I have a hirsute friend who would also cut himself on their blades, and I was hoping that the new blade was something we could both use. I deliberately didn't even try it out, because I had months' supply of the old blades. I finally gave the new blade a go, and it was so bad. So bad. What I used to be able to shave in a single stroke was taking multiple passes. Not just 2 or 3 - I mean like 7 or 8 before it was doing a comparable shave. I could see the hair on my face through the shaving gel residue. I'd never seen that before! It was so terrible. I had a hunt around for similar subscription services and stumbled across Oscar. My friend tried it out before I did, and he loved it!! He has a slightly coarser beard than me, so I thought this was a win. I tried it out next, with a fresh cartridge, and I was happy. I feel like the old DSC blades were able to cut through my stubble with a single stroke, but Oscar was doing a great job in 2 or 3. The single blade on the back is lethal. I touched it to my upper lip and I could tell it was super sharp. I use it much more sparingly than I did with the DSC. My friend did actually cut himself using the back. I, thankfully, haven't cut myself using the Oscar razor. Yet... Overall, I'm pretty happy. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the razor does a good job. I'll probably…

Hi David
Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate it!
Your experience with DSC is the reason why we're seeing so many people coming over to OSCAR. We've been making steady inroads in a razor market that has been dominated by the world's biggest consumer goods companies Procter & Gamble who own Gillette and Unilever who bought Dollar Shave Club in 2016. We could not be faced with bigger competitors!
Interestingly, Unilever sold DSC late 2023, a sign that trouble has been brewing since they launched their own razors made in Israel.
I agree our back-trimmer is a tad sharp, but it works a treat on side-burns and even eyebrows as one customer suggested!
No pressure of course, but if you'd like to sign up to a subscription, we'd include a complimentary Shave Gel.
Warm regards and thanks again.

Good kit and razor does feel good to use though I do feel it would benefit from a blade on the back to enable more precise trimming

Hi Mark
Thank you for the feedback. It is much appreciated.
There is actually a reverse trimmer at the back. It is very sharp, so please take extra care, but it works well.
Warm regards
